It was harder than expected, but this afternoon, on a neutral field in Strumica, within the 4th round of the First MFL, the Vardar team defeated Shkupi with a final score of 4:2.
Five of the six goals were scored in the first half, which was one of the most exciting in recent times in the domestic championship.
The match started shockingly, in the 9th second, Muharem took advantage of the uncertainty in Vardar's defense, and after Matić's intervention, the ball ended up in the net for Shkupi's lead.
Vardar quickly returned to the game and through Dimitar Danev, who headed in an assist from Mihail Manevski, equalized to 1:1 in the 16th minute.
The complete turnaround came in the 36th minute, when Azer Omeragic scored for 2:1, but Shkupi once again brought back the uncertainty of the result. After new uncertainty in Vardar's defense, Destani managed to score for 2:2.
However, Vardar went into halftime with an advantage. Castaneda and Manevski's action ended with a precise header by Zakarić for 3:2.
In the second half, Vardar completely dominated, creating several chances, and the final score of 4:2 was set by Edis Spahiu, who in the last moments scored from a second attempt after a quick counterattack by Vardar.
