The footballers of Shkëndija Arachinovo will try to end their run of four matches without a win in the First League when they face Tikvesh at the Chair Stadium in the new round.
In the meantime, Arachinovo ended their crisis and, with a 2–0 victory over Bashkimi in Kumanovo, secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Macedonia Cup. Winger Ariton Mehmedi believes that the positive energy and good atmosphere will carry over into today’s clash against the Kavadarci side, who enter this match following a significant triumph over Vardar in the Cup.
„A challenging match against Tikvesh awaits us, an opponent that deserves maximum respect. We are aware of the importance of this clash and motivated to give our best on the pitch. We worked hard and with dedication throughout the week, so I believe we are fully prepared for the challenge,“ said Ariton Mehmedi, Shkëndija Arachinovo’s winger.

Mehmedi stressed that the team’s main weapon should be collective play and fighting spirit.
„As a team, we have a clear objective – to play in a disciplined manner, with character and a fighting spirit, and achieve a positive result. We know what it means to wear the Shkëndija Arachinovo shirt and we will do everything to defend the club colours with dignity. I believe in my teammates and in our collective work. I hope we will show our qualities on the pitch and make our loyal fans happy,“ Mehmedi said.
In the only previous head-to-head clash in the First League, Shkëndija recorded a narrow 1–0 away win in Kavadarci.
The match between Shkëndija Arachinovo and Tikvesh will be played at the Chair Stadium, kicking off at 12:00, with Stojanche Stojanov appointed as the referee.
