Many chances, one goal: Tikvesh narrowly defeated Skopje

Tikvesh defeated Skopje 1-0 in the first match of the 13th round of the First Football League. The Kavadarci team had many chances, but Kristijan Naumovski was outstanding in goal for Skopje. The points, nevertheless, went to Tikvesh.

Tikvesh took the lead in the 26th minute. Following a corner from the right, Renatinho struck the net of Kristijan Naumovski with a volley.

Ten minutes later, Laval had a chance, but he shot inaccurately from 12 metres. Before the end of the first half, Sila also had an opportunity after a pass from Lusianinho, but Skopje's defence cleared the danger at the last moment.

Tikvesh continued on the offensive in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lusianinho found himself one-on-one with Naumovski, rounded the goalkeeper, but then failed to hit the empty net from a promising position.

Laval and Wisdom then also had chances, but without effect. In the 59th minute, Lusianinho was again presented with an excellent opportunity and shot from close range, but Naumovski saved a certain goal.

Three minutes later, Lusianinho created an excellent chance for Laval, but once again Naumovski reacted superbly.

After so many chances, it seemed that Tikvesh had doubled their lead in the 69th minute, when Okere Wisdom managed to outwit the opposing goalkeeper. However, an offside was called and the goal was disallowed.

In the end, Tikvesh secured all three points, although they could have celebrated a much more convincing victory.
