Sedloski: We need to correct our mistakes and show desire, fighting spirit and discipline

The Macedonia national team faces its final two challenges in its debut campaign in League B of the UEFA Nations League. During the November international window, Goce Sedloski’s squad will first travel to Glasgow to face Scotland (13 November), before welcoming Slovenia to Skopje three days later (16 November).

Head coach Goce Sedloski announced the list of called-up players and explained his choices and expectations for the final two matches in the group at a press conference.

Sedloski stressed that he knows the opponents well, given that Macedonia have already faced both teams during the competition so far. The main emphasis will be placed on correcting mistakes, greater discipline and maximum effort on the pitch.

„We played against both national teams and know what kind of teams they are. We need to correct the mistakes we made in the first match against Scotland. I want the players to show running, desire and discipline in their play. Scotland are a strong national team, but we need to forget the results behind us. We want to improve in these two matches. This is a list of players who are getting playing time at their clubs, which is why I opted for this squad,“ Sedloski said.

The head coach also addressed the omission of Bojan Miovski, who had not been getting the desired playing time at Glasgow Rangers recently.

„Miovski had not been getting playing time at Glasgow Rangers for some time, which is why I opted for these four forwards. He has not been ruled out of the squad. When he gets more playing time and plays regularly, he will receive another call-up,“ the head coach explained.

In the final two rounds, Macedonia will try to improve its impression and round off its first participation in League B with results that will provide encouragement for the upcoming national-team challenges.
