Macedonia U21 defeated by Italy

Macedonia's under-21 national team suffered a heavy defeat away to Italy, losing 4-0 in the seventh round of the European Championship qualifiers.

The hosts quickly imposed their rhythm and took the lead in the third minute through Cher Ndour, while the Macedonian team managed to keep the deficit to a minimum until the end of the first half.

However, the start of the second half brought a complete collapse in their play. Italy increased their lead in a short period of time with goals from Luca Lipani and Gieff El Kator, effectively deciding the winner. The final 4-0 scoreline was set in the 86th minute, when Seydou Fini converted from the penalty spot.

After seven matches played, Macedonia have collected just three points and sit in the penultimate position in Group E.
