The reigning champions Vardar and the runners-up Shkendija will have their first showdown as early as the second round of the new season. The big derby between the two teams, who are once again the biggest title contenders, will be played today at 17:00 at the Todor Proeski Arena. Vardar are defending the trophy, while Shkendija want to reclaim it.
Vardar goalkeeper Davor Taleski also has special motivation whenever he plays against Shkendija, as he is a former player of the Tetovo club. Naturally, he is now fully motivated, together with his teammates, to go for victory against Shkendija.
„A derby match against Shkendija awaits us as early as the second round. We prepared well throughout the entire week and hope to show ourselves in the best possible light. We respect Shkendija, who have an excellent team, but we want to show why we are champions,“ said Davor Taleski.
The derby between Vardar and Shkendija will be played at 17:00 at the National Arena Todor Proeski, with Stojanche Trpchevski appointed as the referee.
